The Why Behind PRT-i

My mission for nervous system healing

An integrative, nervous system–driven approach to resolving acute and chronic pain — quickly, permanently, and without opiates.

A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

Why I founded the Positional Release Therapy Institute

I founded PRT-i in Ogden, Utah to give patients an integrative, nervous system–driven approach to resolving acute and chronic painful conditions — quickly, and with little discomfort. Positional Release Therapy is the cornerstone of that approach.

For the past 20 years, I’ve been committed to offering humanity a novel therapy that exceeds traditional approaches both in immediate and long-term outcomes. My research colleagues and I have shown this approach quickly and permanently resolves chronic low back pain, plantar fasciitis, migraines, concussions, and many other conditions. My ™Wheelhouse Protocol for low back pain often resolves symptoms in just one to three sessions — where traditional therapies can take months or years, sometimes pushing patients toward opiates when nothing else works.

MY CORE BELIEF

“The body has an innate ability to heal itself when the nervous system is calm and balanced. PRT resets the neurological system, bringing the body back to homeostasis and facilitating true healing.”

— Dr. Timothy Speicher

THE APPROACH

Tailored, integrative, and designed for immediate and long-term results

Therapy should be tailored to each individual — integrative by blending research-supported Eastern and Western techniques, personalized to the patient’s goals, and designed to produce immediate results as well as long-term healing.

Where the body can self-correct

A HEALING ENVIRONMENT

Where the body can self-correct

The primary goal of PRT is to create a healing environment where the body can self-correct by addressing musculoskeletal and neurological imbalances. Pain is reduced, strength and flexibility improve, and tissue regeneration and repair occur.

No single therapy or tool addresses every condition, therefore, at PRT-i, we integrate multiple modalities into a patient’s plan — optimizing healing and performance through the collaboration of our team of therapists, personal trainers, and physicians.

We continue to advance PRT and complementary therapies through clinical practice and research conducted at our clinic and around the globe — integrating those advances into every personalized treatment plan.

MY COMMITMENT TO OGDEN

Bringing this advanced therapy to those who haven’t found relief elsewhere

I’m dedicated to relieving the suffering of those in Ogden and beyond. I often provide therapy to those in need because I don’t want people in pain to end up on opiates — or stuck on the never-ending hamster wheel of traditional Western medicine.

My Nervous System Driven Therapy is a person-centered approach focused on meeting individual goals, finding the root cause of problems, and educating patients about their conditions and the therapies that will help them heal. My goal is also to teach patients how to take control of their own therapy and maintain their wellness.

At PRT-i, you’ll find a concierge therapy team dedicated to you — not your insurance company or your co-payment. We’re here to get to the root of your issue, deliver therapy that works immediately and for the long term, and ensure your nervous system is returned to balance and maintained there for years to come.
