Last Updated: May 29, 2026

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS WEBSITE OR ENROLLING IN ANY COURSE OR PROGRAM OFFERED BY THE POSITIONAL RELEASE THERAPY INSTITUTE (“PRT-i,” “COMPANY,” “WE,” “US,” OR “OUR”).

By accessing or using the PRT-i website located at https://prt-i.com (the “Site”), purchasing any course, program, or product, or by clicking “I Agree” or similar acceptance mechanism, you (“User,” “You,” or “Your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO ACCESS OR USE THE SITE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY PROVISION OF THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT ACCESS OR USE THE SITE OR ANY PRT-i SERVICES.

PRT-i reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting a revised effective date on this page and, where feasible, by email. Your continued use of the Site after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. IMPORTANT HEALTHCARE AND EDUCATIONAL DISCLAIMER

THE CONTENT ON THIS SITE IS PROVIDED FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.

(a) No Provider-Patient Relationship. Use of this Site, participation in any PRT-i course, or communication with PRT-i staff does not create a provider-patient or therapist-patient relationship of any kind.

(b) Not a Substitute for Professional Care. Nothing on this Site should be construed as a substitute for the professional judgment of a licensed healthcare provider who is familiar with your individual circumstances. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional before beginning any new treatment, therapy, or exercise program.

(c) No Guarantee of Outcomes. Individual results from any therapy or technique discussed on this Site will vary. PRT-i makes no representation that any particular outcome described on this Site will be achieved by any individual patient or clinician.

(d) Emergency Situations. If you or a patient is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or seek immediate emergency medical assistance. Do not rely on this Site or PRT-i communications for emergency guidance.

(e) Clinician Scope of Practice. Clinicians who access or use PRT-i courses and certification are solely responsible for ensuring that any techniques are applied within their own applicable professional scope of practice as defined by applicable state and federal law. Nothing in these Terms or in any PRT-i course alters or overrides any clinician’s legal scope of practice. Certification by PRT-i is a proprietary credentialing designation—it does not constitute licensure and does not expand any legally defined scope of practice.

3. SITE ACCESS AND ACCEPTABLE USE

3.1 Limited License

Subject to these Terms, PRT-i grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, limited license to access and use the Site solely for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

3.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree that you will not:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations;
  • Sell, rent, lease, transfer, assign, distribute, or commercially exploit the Site or its content;
  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, display, post, or transmit any portion of the Site without prior written consent of PRT-i;
  • Modify, make derivative works of, disassemble, reverse compile, or reverse engineer any part of the Site;
  • Access the Site in order to build a similar or competitive website, product, or service;
  • Scrape, crawl, data mine, or systematically extract content from the Site by automated means;
  • Use any PRT-i content to train, fine-tune, or otherwise develop any artificial intelligence, machine learning, or large language model;
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or any related systems;
  • Harass, abuse, or harm any other user of the Site;
  • Misrepresent your identity, credentials, or affiliation with any person or entity.

3.3 User Accounts

Certain features of the Site may require you to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity occurring under your account. You agree to notify PRT-i immediately at info@prt-i.com of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. PRT-i reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its sole discretion.

3.4 Age Restriction

The Site is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. PRT-i does not knowingly collect personal information from minors under 13. If you believe a minor has submitted personal information to the Site, please contact us at info@prt-i.com.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

4.1 Ownership

All intellectual property rights in the Site and its content—including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, course materials, training manuals, techniques, protocols, online recordings, the PRT-i name and mark, and the Positional Release Therapist Certification program—are owned by or licensed to PRT-i. These rights include copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, patents, and other proprietary rights.

4.2 Limited License to Certified Clinicians

Upon successful completion of the PRT-i Certification program and continued compliance with these Terms, PRT-i grants certified clinicians a nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to use PRT-i intellectual property—including logos and certified marks—solely in connection with the authorized clinical practice of PRT techniques at their licensed place of practice.

4.3 Restrictions

You shall not, without the prior express written consent of PRT-i:

  • Alter, amend, reproduce, distribute, sell, or disseminate any PRT-i training materials or course content, in whole or in part;
  • Modify or create derivative works of any PRT-i technique, method, or protocol;
  • Teach, instruct, or certify others in PRT techniques outside of an authorized PRT-i program;
  • Advertise or market the use of PRT techniques except in accordance with established PRT-i branding and usage guidelines;
  • Sublicense any rights granted to you under these Terms;
  • Use any PRT-i content for reverse engineering or to develop competing methodologies;
  • Use PRT-i trademarks, logos, or certification marks in any manner that suggests endorsement without authorization.

4.4 Confidential Information

PRT-i course materials, proprietary protocols, pricing structures, and technical information not available to the general public constitute confidential information. You agree to maintain the confidentiality of such information and not disclose it to third parties without prior written authorization from PRT-i.

4.5 Prohibition on AI Training Use

You expressly agree that no PRT-i content—including course recordings, written materials, images, and techniques—may be used to train, develop, improve, or fine-tune any artificial intelligence system, machine learning model, or similar technology without PRT-i’s prior written consent.

5. LICENSING TERMS AND CERTIFICATION

PRT-i instruction and certification is available to and intended solely for qualified students and participants who hold a current, valid license in one of the following professions: acupuncture, athletic training, chiropractic, dentistry, medicine, massage therapy, naprapathy, occupational therapy, osteopathy, physical therapy, podiatry, and veterinary medicine.

Clinicians must agree to use and maintain all PRT-i intellectual property—including logos and registered and copyrighted material—under a nonexclusive and nontransferable license while in compliance with these Terms. PRT-i instruction and related manual therapy techniques are not to be used except by licensed clinicians and students who have been instructed and certified by PRT-i.

Certification by PRT-i designates a clinician as a Positional Release Therapist (PRT-c®). This designation is a proprietary credentialing mark of PRT-i and does not constitute, alter, or expand any professional licensure or legally defined scope of practice. Each certified clinician retains full independent clinical judgment and professional responsibility at all times. Nothing in these Terms or in any PRT-i course overrides, supplements, or expands the scope of practice defined by applicable state or federal law.

Upon successful completion of the Positional Release Therapist Certification, qualified clinicians may be listed in the “Find a Provider” section of the prt-i.com website. Students who have not yet completed certification may access Preferred Provider marketing materials but will not be listed until certification is complete.

As a condition for participating in any course or training, clinicians and students are required to read and agree to these Terms and Conditions before attending any virtual or in-person training.

The Positional Release Therapy Institute certifies compliance with applicable anti-discrimination laws and the use of current, inclusive, and professionally accepted terminology in all courses and certification programs.

6. PARTICIPANT DISCLAIMER AND RESPONSIBILITY

Proper training in Positional Release Therapy (PRT) is presented to participants in a multi-module format, currently consisting of the Positional Release Therapist Certification program. Associated PRT-i courses offer essential and advanced knowledge of PRT techniques for assessing and treating musculoskeletal and neurological dysfunctions.

Participants who receive training from PRT-i will be informed of the indications, contraindications, and limitations of PRT. It is the participant’s sole responsibility to demonstrate sound clinical judgment at all times, to apply PRT techniques only within their applicable scope of practice, and to obtain any additional training required by their professional licensing board or applicable law.

PRT-i does not represent that completion of any course or certification guarantees clinical competency, patient outcomes, or professional advancement.

7. INDEMNIFICATION

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PRT-i, its successors and assigns, parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, trainers, and independent contractors (collectively, the “Indemnified Parties”) from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and court costs) arising out of or relating to:

  • Your unauthorized or improper use of PRT techniques or PRT-i intellectual property;
  • Your use of PRT techniques prior to completing required training or certification;
  • Your use of PRT techniques in any unauthorized modified form;
  • Your teaching or instructing others in PRT outside an authorized PRT-i program;
  • Your advertising or marketing of PRT independent of established PRT-i usage guidelines;
  • Any claim arising from your treatment of, or interactions with, any patient or third party;
  • Any regulatory investigation, proceeding, or action arising from your clinical practice;
  • Your violation of any provision of these Terms;
  • Your negligence or intentional misconduct;
  • Any breach of your representations or warranties under these Terms.

This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of your relationship with PRT-i and these Terms.

8. RETURNS, CANCELLATIONS, AND REFUND POLICY

(a) Full Refund Period. You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund of training fees within 72 hours of purchase, provided the course has not been started.

(b) Transfer Option. After the 72-hour period, training fees may be transferred to a virtual course or a future in-person course of your choosing, provided the transfer is used within 12 months of the original cancellation date.

(c) Forfeiture. Any training fees not applied within 12 months of the original cancellation date are subject to forfeiture.

(d) Non-Refundable Items. Self-paced programs that have been started and any physical products that have been opened or used are not eligible for a refund.

(e) Weather Cancellations. If the National Weather Service issues a Storm Warning for the location and time of an in-person course, PRT-i may cancel the course for the safety of participants and instructors. In that event, participants will be offered a transfer to a future course or a full refund.

(f) Subscription and Auto-Renewal. If PRT-i offers any subscription-based products or services, the specific auto-renewal terms, billing cycles, and cancellation procedures will be set forth in the applicable enrollment or subscription agreement, which is incorporated herein by reference.

9. DISCLAIMERS OF WARRANTIES

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES PROVIDED BY PRT-i ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

PRT-i DOES NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; (B) ANY INFORMATION OR CONTENT ON THE SITE IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE, COMPLETE, OR CURRENT; (C) ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR (D) THE SITE OR ITS SERVERS ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

PRT-i MAKES NO REPRESENTATION THAT ANY CLINICAL TECHNIQUE, PROTOCOL, OR METHODOLOGY DESCRIBED ON THE SITE WILL PRODUCE ANY PARTICULAR RESULT FOR ANY INDIVIDUAL PATIENT. CLINICAL OUTCOMES ARE INHERENTLY VARIABLE AND DEPEND ON NUMEROUS FACTORS OUTSIDE PRT-i’S CONTROL.

If applicable law requires any warranties with respect to the Site, all such warranties are limited in duration to ninety (90) days from the date of first use. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PRT-i, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOSS OF GOODWILL, PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, OR ANY OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE, EVEN IF PRT-i HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PRT-i’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO PRT-i IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM; OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50.00).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages. In such jurisdictions, PRT-i’s liability shall be limited to the greatest extent permitted by applicable law.

The existence of more than one claim shall not enlarge or extend any limitation of liability under this Section.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS, ADVERTISEMENTS, AND CONTENT

The Site may contain links to third-party websites, services, or advertisements not under PRT-i’s control. PRT-i is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party site or service. Access to any third-party link is at your own risk. When you leave the Site, the applicable third party’s terms and privacy policy govern your use.

User Content. To the extent the Site permits users to post or submit content, each user is solely responsible for their own submissions. PRT-i does not control user-generated content and is not liable for any such content.

12. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

PRT-i uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve Site functionality and user experience. Cookies may collect information such as browser type, pages visited, time spent on pages, and referring URLs. For a full description of how PRT-i collects, uses, and discloses information—including through cookies, analytics tools, and any advertising pixels—please review our Privacy Policy at https://prt-i.com/privacy/.

You may control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Note that disabling certain cookies may limit the functionality of the Site.

13. TERM AND TERMINATION

These Terms will remain in full force and effect while you use the Site or hold any PRT-i certification. PRT-i may suspend or terminate your access to the Site and any associated account at any time, for any reason, at its sole discretion, including for any violation of these Terms. Upon termination, all licenses granted to you will immediately cease. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 14, 15, and 16 will survive any termination of these Terms.

14. COPYRIGHT POLICY AND DMCA PROCEDURES

PRT-i respects the intellectual property of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), PRT-i will respond to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement.

If you believe that content on the Site infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent at info@prt-i.com or 1710 E. 5600 S. Ogden, UT 84403 that includes:

Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any misrepresentation of material fact in a written notification automatically subjects the complaining party to liability for damages, costs, and attorneys’ fees.

15. GRIEVANCE PROCESS

If you have a grievance regarding any services offered by PRT-i, please submit your grievance in writing to info@prt-i.com or to the address below, describing the nature of the grievance and your requested resolution. PRT-i will acknowledge receipt of your grievance and endeavor to respond within 30 days.

16. DISPUTE RESOLUTION, ARBITRATION, AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS. IT CONTAINS PROCEDURES FOR MANDATORY BINDING ARBITRATION AND A CLASS ACTION WAIVER.

16.1 Informal Resolution

Before initiating any formal proceeding, each party must first provide written notice to the other describing the nature and basis of the claim and the relief sought. Notice to PRT-i should be sent to 1710 E. 5600 S., Ogden, UT 84403. The parties shall attempt to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days after notice is received. If not resolved, either party may proceed to arbitration.

16.2 Binding Arbitration

Except as set forth in Section 16.6, all claims and disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of any PRT-i product or service that cannot be resolved informally or in small claims court shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org or 1-800-778-7879. Arbitration shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator shall have authority to award individual relief, including monetary damages. The arbitrator’s award is final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.

16.3 Class Action Waiver

ALL CLAIMS AND DISPUTES MUST BE ARBITRATED OR LITIGATED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR CONSOLIDATED ACTION.

16.4 Jury Trial Waiver

BOTH YOU AND PRT-i WAIVE ANY CONSTITUTIONAL OR STATUTORY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. ALL DISPUTES SHALL BE RESOLVED BY A NEUTRAL ARBITRATOR OR, WHERE PERMITTED, BY A JUDGE WITHOUT A JURY.

16.5 Small Claims Court

Either party may bring an individual action in small claims court, provided the matter qualifies under applicable jurisdictional limits.

16.6 Claims Not Subject to Arbitration

Claims for defamation, violations of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and infringement or misappropriation of intellectual property rights (including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and trade secrets) are not subject to arbitration. For any litigation that is not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Weber County, Utah.

16.7 Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflicts-of-law principles. To the extent any dispute is litigated in court, you consent to personal jurisdiction in the state and federal courts located in Weber County, Utah.

16.8 Time Limit

Any arbitration action must be initiated within the applicable statute of limitations and within any deadline imposed by the AAA Rules.

16.9 Survival

This Arbitration Agreement survives the termination of your relationship with PRT-i.

17. FORCE MAJEURE

PRT-i shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms to the extent caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, pandemic or epidemic events, power outages, internet service interruptions, acts of government, war, terrorism, or labor disputes.

18. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS CONSENT

By using the Site, you consent to receive communications from PRT-i electronically, including via email and website notices. You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications provided electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

19. GENERAL PROVISIONS

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable enrollment agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and PRT-i regarding use of the Site and supersede all prior agreements.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver. PRT-i’s failure to enforce any right or provision shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect.

No Agency. Your relationship with PRT-i is that of an independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, franchise, or joint venture relationship.

Modification Rights. PRT-i reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Site or any service at any time without notice or liability.

20. PRIVACY POLICY

Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://prt-i.com/privacy/, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
